LAST UPDATES: LIFTING OF CRUISING RESTRICTIONS IN FRENCH AND MONEGASQUE WATERS

FOR EUROPEAN AND NON-EUROPEAN FLAGGED YACHTS.

Since Monday, May 17, all yachts can now cruise freely and anchor along the French coast, including Monaco.
Indeed, the Maritime Prefecture of the Mediterranean has issued an order lifting all cruising restrictions in French waters. These restrictions had been put in place in November 2020 after the autumn peak in cases of COVID.

Italy also lifted the restrictions this Monday, May 17, and Croatia is already open. Thus, with the number of COVID cases declining in Western Europe, all is set for another summer of cruising in the Mediterranean.

Warning :

The order lifted only the cruise-related restrictions.
All other travel restrictions imposed by individual countries must be respected. However, most EU countries plan to ease travel restrictions in the coming weeks to allow travel within the EU and from some non-EU countries with low levels of infection, including the United States.
